internationaal recht (volkenrecht) - internationale vrijhandelsafspraak van de International Trade Organisation (ITO), die na falend beleid werd opgevolgd tot de Wereldhandelsorganisatie (WTO). De ~ werd in 1947 in Genève door 23 landen ondertekend en is nu een van de WTO-verdragen. Heeft tot doel om d.m.v. onderhandelingen te komen tot het afbreken van tariefmuren en andere handelsbelemmeringen (Kennedyronde).
