Artikel 160 Boek 6 BW:

1Een verbintenis gaat teniet door een overeenkomst van de schuldeiser met de schuldenaar, waarbij hij van zijn vorderingsrecht afstand doet.
2Een door de schuldeiser tot de schuldenaar gericht aanbod tot afstand om niet geldt als aanvaard, wanneer de schuldenaar van het aanbod heeft kennisgenomen en het niet onverwijld heeft afgewezen.
3De artikelen 48 leden 1 en 2 en 49 leden 1-3 zijn van overeenkomstige toepassing.
